OUR STORY
When I grow up I want to be a guitar player
In October 1945, in the heart of New York City, a young man named Salvatore Nicosia walked past a record store and stumbled upon the mesmerizing sounds of Charlie Christian's guitar solo in "Solo Flight" on a collaboration with the legendary Benny Goodman. This divine encounter ignited his passion for jazz guitar. Once he discovered that it was Charlie Christian who had woven that magical tapestry of notes, Salvatore rushed back home to share the news with his parents. He told them that he needed a guitar and that he was determined to learn how to play it. To his delight, his parents agreed, believing that the guitar would keep him out of trouble. Little did they know that this was the moment when Salvatore's lifelong journey to master the guitar commenced. He rapidly evolved into a professional guitarist and a dedicated teacher. That guy was my father. Just as he once found inspiration in the legendary Charlie Christian his legacy lives on through JazzGuitarMasters.. It's a living testament to my dad's enduring love for the guitar and the transformative power of music. It's a place for enthusiasts, learners, and professionals to explore the world of jazz guitar and stand on the shoulders of those who have come before us; past, present, and future.
